Never in my lifetime have I seen Republicans working so diligently, in such a dedicated fashion, doing everything they can … to hand over control of the Arizona Legislature to Democrats.
From the party’s grassroots workers to the far-right Arizona Freedom Caucus that now holds the Legislature in an iron grip, the party seems bound and determined to purify its ranks, possibly even to the point of political irrelevance.
District committees are eating their own
Consider the ongoing all-you-can-eat buffet in legislative districts across the state, wherein party workers are chewing up and spitting out their own representatives.
I’ve lost count of how many GOP legislative district committees have censured some or all of the 18 Republican legislators who voted to expel now-ex Rep. Liz Harris.
Harris, one of the Legislature’s most high-profile election deniers, was bounced in April for her role in a crazy scheme to publicly proclaim that Gov. Katie Hobbs and other public officials are working for a Mexican drug cartel.
