Dozens in Payson turn out for pro-Israel rally

Dozens of Rim Country residents came out in support of Israel Oct. 13, holding posters and waving flags along Highway 87 after a deadly Hamas terrorist attack.

Several Gila County Republican organizations came together with citizens, candidates and local pastors to line the sidewalks of the Beeline Highway. Gila County Republican Committee Chaplin Rev. Douglas G. Halverson led between 50-60 supporters in prayer, according to Lori Mills. Pastor Tim McDonald from Church of the Nations also prayed, said Debi LaBonte. State Senator Wendy Rogers was also in attendance.
