Phoenix, AZ – Arizona Republican Party Chairman Sergio Arellano is proud to announce the formation of a new fundraising committee. The esteemed members of the new committee are individuals who have won the respect and trust of a broad spectrum of Party members over a span of decades.
Chairman Arellano is grateful to Committee Co-Chairs Mayor Jason Beck and Karrin Taylor Robson and their fellow committee members Bruce Ash, Speaker of the House Steve Montenegro, and Don Tapia, for their willingness to lead the Republican Party of Arizona’s fundraising efforts in 2026.
“I deliberately reached out to Mayor Jason Beck, Karrin Taylor Robson, former RNC Committeeman Bruce Ash, Speaker of the House Steve Montenegro, and Don Tapia because of their dedication to our conservative principles and tireless work on behalf of the Republican Party and our candidates over the years,” stated Chair Arellano. “Each of these individuals have won the admiration of Republican Party members and my thanks for their selfless service and leadership. I am so proud of them and grateful to them for agreeing to continue their service to our Party.”

Mayor Jason Beck
Jason Beck was elected Mayor of Peoria in 2022 and is currently serving a four-year term. Alongside his wife, Jane, he is the founder and CEO of Tyr Tactical, an award-winning Arizona manufacturer recognized as Manufacturer of the Year and one of Peoria’s largest private employers.
After serving in the Marine Corps, Jason launched his first company from a 30-foot storage unit. That startup has since grown into a global supplier of body armor vests, hard armor, and tactical equipment used by law enforcement agencies and military forces around the world. His business philosophy, “Innovate or Die,” now shapes his approach to public service.
During his time as Mayor, he has remained laser-focused on helping Peoria reach its full potential by attracting forward-thinking economic development, securing long-term water resources, advancing the future of public safety, and expanding educational opportunities to ensure school choice is available for Peoria families.
Karrin Taylor Robson
Karrin Taylor Robson was born and raised in Mesa and earned degrees from Arizona State University and its law school. She specialized in land use as an attorney and has made public service a priority for her life, advocating for a dynamic and diverse economy, a world class education system, and for a robust military in Arizona. Karrin played a critical role in supporting the aerospace industry in the state. As a civilian working with officials to fund Luke Air Force Base properly, she was a strong and influential voice. Her work on the Arizona Aerospace Institute and the Mesa Proving Ground has been critical to Arizona’s military. In recognition of her leadership, Governor Doug Ducey appointed her to the Arizona Board of Regents in 2017. She resigned from the Board in July 2021 to focus on her campaign for the Republican nomination for governor but lost the primary to Kari Lake. She is currently president of Arizona Strategies, the land use strategy firm she founded in Phoenix.
Among her most-prized awards was being tapped as an Honorary Commander with Luke AFB.
House Speaker Steve Montenegro
Steve Montenegro is the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives. Born in El Salvador, he immigrated to the United States at age four and later graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Political Science. He also holds an Associate of Arts in Theology.
Steve has served in both chambers of the Legislature, including roles as Speaker Pro Tempore, Majority Leader, and Chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee. First elected in 2008, he returned to public service in 2022 and was elected Speaker for the 2025–2026 term.
As Speaker, he leads the House under a clear Majority Plan built on three pillars: preserving the American Dream, promoting public safety, and protecting individual rights and liberties. The plan guides the House agenda on the economy, education, border security, election integrity, government oversight, and the protection of constitutional rights.
Outside the Legislature, he has served as a Ministry Pastor at Catalyst Church and previously led Desert Reach, an organization that supports inner-city high school students. He and his wife, Melissa, have two daughters, Addy and Emmy.
Ambassador Don Tapia
Donald Ray Tapia, a prominent businessman, committed civic leader and compassionate philanthropist, was the Chairman and CEO of Essco Group Management the largest Hispanic owned business in Arizona for more than three decades before retiring in 2010 to devote his time to philanthropy. Essco Group Management provided front line management and back room production for twelve electrical wholesale branches located in Arizona and Southern California. Mr. Tapia’s philanthropic efforts have included serving on the Board of Directors of the Sun Angel Foundation & Endowment at Arizona State University, as Chairman of Board & Trustee at Saint Leo University in Florida, and as Member of the President’s Circle at Xavier College in Phoenix, Arizona. He has served on the Boards of social service organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix, Teen LifeLine Phoenix, Advisory Council of the Arizona Animal Welfare League and Advisory board for Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix Arizona.
Mr. Tapia is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force, Honorably Discharged (1955-1959). Mr. Tapia’s excellent management and entrepreneurial skills, demonstrated commitment to a culture of success and wide-ranging leadership in business, community and education make him well-qualified to serve as Ambassador to Jamaica. Additional enterprises Mr. Tapia has engaged in; include CEO, Sonapar USA, Chandler, Arizona (2008-2010) as well as employment with Cal Neva Corp., Los Angeles, California (1973-1977) and International Telephone & Telegraph Corp., Chicago, Illinois (1967-1973). He also worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration in Cleveland and Cincinnati.
Mr. Tapia earned a B.A. and M.B.A. from Saint Leo University, Saint Leo, Florida, which also awarded him an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
Bruce Ash
Bruce Ash is a native of Tucson, Arizona and operates a real estate management and acquisition company there.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Ash has served on local, national and international levels in various health, philanthropic and care organizations. He brings his vast experience in business and fundraising to Republican political activism in Arizona.
Mr. Ash was selected as Arizona’s Republican Committeeman in 2007 and was re-elected to four-year terms in 2008 and 2012. He was a member of the RNC Standing Committee on Resolutions (2009- 2010) and currently serves on the Standing Committee on Rules (2009 – Present). In 2010, Mr. Ash was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Rules (2010 – 2012), and he was re-elected to another four-year term in 2013. Mr. Ash has also served as a member of the RNC Executive Committee since 2010.
Mr. Ash is a founding member of the Conservative Steering Committee and of Republicans Overseas. He is the Chairman of the RNC’s Republican National Conservative Caucus.
Bruce Ash is married to Jane Ash, and they have two married sons.
