PHOENIX, AZ – The Republican Party of Arizona (AZGOP) announced today that they have successfully survived a motion to dismiss in their ongoing lawsuit challenging an Arizona law that allows individuals who have never lived in Arizona (or the United States) to vote in Arizona elections.
The suit, commonly referred to as “Never Residents”, asserts that the law permitting such registrants is inconsistent with the residency requirements of the Arizona State Constitution. The court’s decision to deny the motion to dismiss allows the case to move forward, ensuring a full examination of the legal and constitutional issues involved.
The AZGOP remains committed to pursuing this case to its conclusion and we will continue to advocate for lawful and secure elections in Arizona.
